visuals that inspire action

Through my photography and films, I centre community voices, especially those of women in marginalized communities, who bear the unfair brunt of climate impacts. I want to inspire love for our planet and the species we share it with, along with awareness of the environmental challenges before us.

Photography

As a visual storyteller, I use the lens of travel to spotlight the wild beauty of our planet and the species we share it, and the environmental challenges we must address.

My photos have appeared in BBC Travel, Adventure.com, Lonely Planet, The Washington Post, National Geographic Traveller and other prominent outlets.

Films

My short documentary films highlight grassroots, women-led, community-centric climate action. I also create short sustainable travel films to make conversations on tourism leakage, community tourism and overtourism more accessible.

My short film series Routes of Resilience won the Social Impact Award at the Bessie Awards (New York, 2025), and Broadcast of the Year at the Inspire Global Media Awards (London, 2025). The film Routes of Resilience was selected to be screened at 19 film festivals, including the Swedish International Film Festival, Eastern Europe Film Festival and Cambodia International Film Festival, and became an award winner at 9 film festivals. The film Women Waste Warriors premiered at the Mussoorie International Film Festival, and some of the women featured in the film were invited to attend the screening (a sweet moment).

The featured communities have also used the films to showcase their work to local authorities. The Women Waste Warriors film, for instance, was screened at Dehradun’s Zila Panchayat (District Development) Office.
