5 Weekend Getaways From Singapore to Pamper You.
Close to each weekend, I desperately resort to Google to find offbeat ideas for weekend getaways from Singapore. In the midst of my travel research, I came across these 5 weekend getaways in Malaysia and Indonesia that will pamper your senses and indulge you. So ditch your weekend travel to Kuala Lumpur, and rejuvenate in lesser know Southeast Asian hideouts!
1) Tempat Senang, Indonesia
An hour’s ferry-ride away from Singapore, in the neighborhood of Batam Island (Indonesia), lies this exotic little gem. It’s a boutique resort, with under 10 suites, each designed, decorated and modeled after an Asian country. Besides the likes of Bali room, Indian room and Japanese room, there’s a Tree Room with a bed suspended in mid air. It’s also home to a traditional Balinese spa with a wide range of rejuvenating massages, and a pampering staff.

2) Nikoi Island, Indonesia
Close your eyes and imagine you are sprawling on a beach chair on white sands, in the company of crystal blue waters, sipping a drink. Just across the shores of Singapore, Nikoi Island affords you that luxury. Many describe this private island & its ecotourism resort as magical. Of course, a picture speaks a thousand words.

3) Lake Kenyir, Malaysia
Most spas have an artificial waterfall in the background, to soothe your senses with the effect of trickling water. Imagine looking into a lake instead while being pampered, reflecting upon life in its vastness. That’s the Lake Kenyir ecotourism resort & spa for you, in Terengganu, Malaysia.
4) Tanjong Jara, Malaysia
Tanjong Jara replicates the magnificent palaces and the pampering luxury of Malay kings in Terengganu, Malaysia. On the coast of turquoise seas, this traditional resort swept away Time‘s editors too. After all, you must live life king size, at least once!
5) Pangkor Laut, Malaysia
You have probably heard of Pangkor Island on Malaysia’s west coast, but Pangkor Laut, a private island resort, is a world in itself. Think crystal blue waters, white sands, chalets on stilts. Think indulgence.
Which of these 5 getaways have you already pampered yourself at? Do you know of any other secret pampering getaways?

Hi. What is the best way to reach Lake Kenyir from Singapore? From what I have checked so far, I have to fly in from KL – there are no direct flights from Singapore. Thanks! Super article 🙂 – Akshaya
Hey Akshaya, from what I remember, the quickest way is to fly from KL to Terranganu (on the east coast of Malaysia), from where Kenyir is a short bus ride. Have a good trip, would love to hear about your experience there!
Love Nikoi! We booked the whole island over the weekend for our wedding ceremony. Will check out your other suggestions!

Hi there,
I experienced the same problem when I was at Singapore. All the weekend getaways offers the same thing and they are not for the party minded people like me. LOL.
Anyway, my friends recommended me Cebu Party Boat as one of the best exclusive weekend vacation available here. I already booked one of the last tickets for the next trip in October. They arrange everything ticket to Cebu, Exploring Cebu and the virgin island with Tri Catamaran. parties on board, accommodation in 5 star beach resorts and etc.
Really for this price is totally worth it.
I will write back my impression after the trip.
Cheers!
What’s up, everything is going nicely here and ofcourse every one is sharing information, that’s genuinely fine, keep up writing.
Today, I went to the beachfront with my children. I found a sea
shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She placed the shell to her ear and screamed.
There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear.
She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is entirely off topic but I had to tell someone!

Stress reduction and a change in diet are usually the first step in getting IBS help.

this all together. These changes in bowel habits may consist of onset of diarrhea,
constipation or a combination of both.
Because of stress, there is an increased secretion of gastrointestinal fluid which is a source of IBS.
Most people with these symptoms will normally not see a doctor and choose to let nature take its cause.
