Reflections on Lake Garda.

Lake Garda, Gargnano, Italy

Time stands still. I gaze at the colors of the lake. The waters are transparent, but they reflect the green of the marine life beneath and the blue of the sky above. The combination forms the shades of an artist’s palette.

The sun slowly starts sinking behind the mountains. Their snow capped peaks glow just a little. The sky changes from blue to pink and orange. The ball of yellow is now the moon. Full, round, glowing. Its reflection upon the lake keeps my eyes glued. My mind still wanders. Could there be more to life than such raw beauty?

Welcome to my blog, The Shooting Star. I’ve been called a storyteller, writer, photographer, digital nomad, "sustainability influencer," social entrepreneur, solo traveller, vegan, sustainable tourism consultant and environmentalist. But in my heart, I’m just a girl who believes that travel - if done right - has the power to change us and the world we live in.

very good comment about the combination of colours above and under the water.

  2. Wonderful description, very poetic. I can’t help but notice the pattern of the white cloud that shaped like a letter A or a pyramid. Awesome!
