Lies
There comes a time in our lives when we convince ourselves that relationships are overrated. It’s a lie, mostly. A lie that brings with it self-imposed solitude. A lie that erects impenetrable walls and severs all human outlets of communication. Then, in an unassuming moment, the lie reveals itself. Thoughts start to become incoherent. We are left confused and questioning, prisoners of our own beliefs.
“…We are such stuff
As dreams are made on; and our little life
Is rounded with a sleep.”
–– Shakespeare. The Tempest.
Hi there! I’m Shivya, and I started this travel blog back in 2011, when travel wasn’t trendy, Instagram didn’t exist and AI wasn’t a thing (simpler times, I know!). I write about slow, meaningful and conscious travel – that is good for us, the places we visit, the people we meet along the way, and the planet at large. Settle down, grab a cup of tea, and read stories that remind you of the essence of travel. I’m so glad you found me!
A line from an urdu poem says magar haqeeqat ko jaan kar bhi na jannay may ajab maza hay ..
Hypocricy is an ingredients mixed in the clay we are made from!
Very true, what you and Mr. Shakespear had to say! 🙂
This is what life is! You know, but somewhere there is fun in this also. Take care!
Sometimes we generalize things with what has happened to us and not by rational thinking. We are in a helpless state at that time.
True, it is a nice phase to be in, and you realize that only later.
@ saadil: I love the line. Thanks for sharing it 🙂
@ neilina: yeah, im trying to find the fun in it. It’s kind of elusive!
@ Dinesh Babu: True, I think we are genetically coded to generalize. Working on it 🙂
@ Tauseef: I hope I do, which will also mean I get out of this phase, thanks!
True… thts all i can say… 🙂
